Living in Lincoln education

Lincoln has a national and international reputation as a leading educational and research community.

Early Childhood
A modern childcare facility for 50 children is planned within Stage 1 of the development. This will take pressure off the four existing Lincoln childcare facilities - two within the university and two in the township - which are currently operating at capacity, with long waiting lists.

Lincoln Primary School
Provision has been made for the future construction of a new Lincoln primary school within the development. The current Decile 9 school is located in a safe, rural environment just 10 minutes walk away. It is a modern, co-educational facility for children aged 5-13 years and it sets very high standards for its 475 pupils.

International students (Years 1-8) also attend the school, which boasts a specialist technology centre, a modern school hall, specialist ESOL staff on site, an adventure playground, a library, a comprehensive computer network, swimming pool, mature trees and an extensive sports and cultural programme.

Lincoln High School
Highly-regarded Lincoln High School is well placed next door to the primary school. It is a modern, multi-course, co-educational high school with a multi-cultural role and superb facilities.

Lincoln High School offers a wide range of courses for its 1,400 students and is recognised as a leader in Information Technology which is available to all students via a fully integrated school network. All students are given email addresses, enabling them to access email and school intranet material from outside the school.

Along with 40 specialist teaching rooms, Lincoln High School has well-equipped science laboratories, computer and applied technology laboratories, art and music suites, an information centre, two gymnasiums and extensive sports grounds.
