Lincoln development is planned around a network of ponds, parks and
waterways and is developed in line with leading edge environmentally
sustainable principles. It will feature:
- Sections from 400sqm to 1200sqm
- Wide grassed street berms with trees
- Multi-functional recreation areas
- A tangible connection to surrounding rural areas
- Easy access to public spaces
- Continuous footpaths on both street sides
Lakes & wetlands
The landscape plan features lakes and wetland that will:
- Play an active role in stormwater treatment
- Feature eco-sourced native plantings
- Create an ‘ecological stepping stone’ for fauna travelling through the district
- Feature educational panels to ensure residents and visitors understand the concept and the custodianship of the stormwater development
Walkways & cycleways
Walking and cycling will be well catered for in Stage 1 of Lincoln development. There will be:
- A dedicated on-road cycle lane traversing primary circulation roads
- A complementary off-road cycle network, which will run through the central wetlands area
- A cycling link to adjacent developments
- A series of boardwalks through the central reserve
- Footpaths throughout
